Wealth of the unjust
1) Through Jeremiah 1:17 (Lord said to me) “But you , gird up your loins; stand up and tell them every thing that I command you.” 2) In Jeremiah 2:13 (Lord says) “For my people have committed two evils ; they have forsaken me, the fountain of living water , and dug out cistern for themselves, cracked cisterns that can hold no water.” NB: Lord is the fountain of living water . But they forsake him. Unjust wealth is cracked cistern . But they prefer that instead of living water. 3) Sirach 40:13 [says] “The wealth of the unjust will be up like a river , and crash like a loud clap of thunder in a storm.” NB1: Heap of wealth come through unjust ways may create all sorts of luxury and noise ; but it will vanish very soon.” 4) Sirach 5:8 [says] “Do not depend on dishonest wealth, for it will not benefit you on the day of calamity .” 5) Habakkuk 2:6 [says] “ Alas for you who heap up what is not your own.” 6) Habakkuk 2:9 [says] “ Alas for you who get evil gain for your houses, setting your nest on high to be safe from the reach of harm.” 7) Proverbs 13:11 [says] “Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle , but those who gather little by little (in an honest way) will increase it.” NB: Wealth of the unjust is cracked cisterns that can hold no water.” 8) Sirach 13:24 [says] “ Riches are good if they are free from sin .” 9) Proverbs 13:22 [says] “ The good leave an inheritance to their children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous .” 9a) Proverbs 28:8 [says] “One who augments (increases) wealth by exorbitant (unreasonable) interest gathers it for another who is kind to the poor.” 10) Sirach 39:19 [says] “The works of all are before him , and nothing can be hidden from his eyes.” NB1: The Lord sees each and everybody who thrives for unjust wealth. NB2: Our God is the Lord of Justice who issues verdict upon unjust wealth. NB3: The justice of the Lord descends upon those who heap unjust wealth by means of loss , accidences , deceases , unwanted situations , natural calamities and death . 11) Sirach 39:28 &29 [says] “There are winds created for vengeance , and in their anger they can dislodge mountains ; on the day of reckoning they will pour out their strength and calm the anger of their Maker .” “ Fire and hail and famine and pestilence , all these have been created for all vengeance .” 12) Isaiah 66:15 [says] “For the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to pay back his anger in fury, and his rebuke in flames of fire.” 13) Isaiah 55:7 [says] “ Let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord , that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon .” 14) In Matthew 3:8 [John the Baptist says] “Bear fruit worthy of repentance.” NB: Let us try to earn riches that are free from sin. And rely on the fountain of living water our God Almighty.
